- For vendors interested in the Manpack/Rifleman Radio marketplace, registration for the upcoming VICTORY Face-to-Face (F2F) Technical Interchange Meeting (TIM) is now open. The TIM will take place October 15, 2015 at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Maryland. The Standards Body TIM will begin at 0800, and will end at 1700. A no-host social will be held after the TIM. The purpose of this TIM is three-fold: 1) continue the on-going working group discussions; 2) engage new industry partners and Government agencies to participate in the Standards Body; and 3) share information on lessons learned by organizations engaged in the implementation of the VICTORY standards. Since the VICTORY standards development effort has completed approximately 85% of the Architecture A3 scope with the March 2015 release, the primary focus for the VICTORY Standards Support Office (VSSO) is on implementation of the published specifications into Programs of Record across the Program Executive Office (PEO) and Research and Development Command (RDECOM) communities, as well as supporting the Better Buying Power (BBP) and Common Operating Environment (COE) initiatives. Therefore, the main focus of this particular TIM is to share lessons learned and status by organizations engaged in the implementation of the VICTORY standard specifications. In keeping with the theme of "Implementing VICTORY," we are honored to have the following speakers: Mr. Kevin Fahey, SES, Executive Director, System of Systems Engineering & Integration (SoSE&I) Directorate, Assistant Secretary of the Army (Acquisition, Logistics and Technology) [ASA(ALT)] Mr. Scott Davis, SES, PEO Combat Support & Combat Service Support (CS&CSS) Mr. Kevin Coggins, SES, Program Manager (PM) Positioning, Navigation & Timing (PNT) Representatives from PEO Ground Combat Systems (GCS), U.S. Marine Corps, Communications-Electronics Research, Development and Engineering Center (CERDEC), and U.S. Army Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC) will also be sharing their insights with the Standards Body on their support of VICTORY development and their strategy and roadmaps on implementation.
