- Description
- The United States Office of Personnel Management in Washington, DC intends to issue a sole source award utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures under Federal Acquisition Regulation 13.106-1(b)(1) to Executive Information Systems, LLC (EIS) for SAS/Secure Software License and Maintenance. OPM has an existing SAS license with maintenance provided by EIS, and has a need to add SAS/Secure to this license. SAS Institute Inc. ("SAS") is the sole manufacturer and publisher of SAS software in the United States. For Government customers located in the United States, SAS is the sole source for new software licenses. Eligible government entities may also license the software and obtain subsequent maintenance from an authorized reseller. Currently, EIS, with offices at 6901 Rockledge Drive, Suite 600, Bethesda, Maryland 20817, is SAS's sole authorized reseller for Version 8 and later of the software and subsequent maintenance to such government entities. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR A COMPETITIVE QUOTE. Any response to this notice must be submitted in writing to Tiffany.Youther@opm.gov and show clear and convincing evidence that another source is capable of meeting the Government's requirements and that competition of the requirement would be advantageous to the Government. If no written responses are received five (5) days after the initial date of publication of this posting, the purchase order will be awarded without further notice.
