Description

Statement of Work Intent to Award Sole Source STERRAD Service Maintenance THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Naval Medical Center San Diego intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) and FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one responsible source, to: Ethicon, Inc.. 33 Technology Drive Irvine, CA 92618-2346 The objective of this sole source award is to Service Maintenance on STERRAD NX equipment with Serial Numbers 10200070808, 10033050449, 10033060738. Sole source is based on the proprietary reasons in that Ethicon developed and engineered the STERRAD system and is the only company able to provide the maintenance and parts needed. The NAICS code for this requirement is 811219; the small business size standard is $20.5 million. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. All information received by 2:00 PM Pacific Time on September 25, 2015 may be considered by the Government. Responses shall be submitted to Elizabeth Sanders at elizabeth.n.sanders.civ@mail.mil. The email subject line shall state, "Naval Medical Center San Diego, "Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source STERRAD Service Maintenance." A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE HONORED
