- This Sources Sought notice is for informational and planning purposes only. It does not constitute a Solicitation and is not to be considered as a commitment by the Government. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request that will be considered for contract award. The information from this market research is for planning purposes only and will assist the Government in planning its acquisition strategy. This is strictly market research and the Government will not entertain questions concerning this market research. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 333318. The intent of this notice is to determine the availability of qualified commercial sources capable of providing the below: Replace the Automated Burn System affixed to the Structural Fire Fighting Training Building located at Fort Gordon, Georgia. Removal of current Automated Burn System in its entirety including but not limited to Fire Props, Automation Systems, Ventilation, Electrical Systems, Valves, Fittings, Piping, Fire Liner Panels, Flashings, Trims and all other items that may not be listed. Install a new Fire Simulator System. The complete system consists of four separate live fire training mock-ups (Props) and a Fire Control System. The Fire Control System shall employ Latching Automation controls that must support at least four burn rooms. The system shall be manufactured using corrosion resistant stainless steel or equal construction and impervious to high temperatures up to 1200 degrees. Full pin welded by certified welders and inspected containing no rough edges or sharp corners. The Fire Control System is manufactured using stainless steel piping, fittings, controls. The control system shall not utilize Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) technology. The system shall maintain a hard wired emergency stop system, intake makeup, combustion, and exhaust fans. The system shall provide a Hand held / tethered "Deadman" fire controller which meets all current NFPA standards. It shall feature a low, medium, and roll over flame effect, as well can control transitional prop selection settings. Real time LEL (20%) and high temperature monitoring is also digitally displayed. 100% Stainless steel or equal valve train plumbing and fittings. Hot dipped galvanized valve train cabinet (¼ inch steel) (stainless steel continuous hinged access door). All Fire scenes shall be pneumatically controlled and FM rated failsafe. The system fire scene(s) shall each contain a Blocking valve, main valve, low, med, roll effect and flash effect valves, distribution valves, are all rated for propane gas. All Electrical conduits shall be installed within walls where possible. All propane / gas piping shall be corrosion resistant stainless steel or equal and installed where possible in walls. Gas distribution train, regulator, and blow down shall be installed within the stainless steel or hot dipped galvanized cabinet(s). The complete fire system controls and valve train shall come completely assembled and pre-wired. Each cabinet shall be assembled and inspected in an approved 508A panel shop and shall have a 508AUL compliance labels. All electrical components shall be NFPA 70 compliant. Potential offerors having the ability to provide the product described are invited to provide a statement via e-mail. The statements shall not exceed five (5) pages and must include the following: 1) Company name and Point of Contact information (address, telephone, e-mail, web-site, etc.); 2) DUNS number and CAGE code; 3) Small Business Size/Certification; and 4) Ability to provide the product. Responses are due no later than 15:00 p.m. EST, Monday, 23 September 2015, and shall be electronically submitted to SSG Cheryl Hood at cheryl.m.hood.mil@mail.mil. All responses will be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for a potential future acquisition. Response is strictly voluntary; no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information requests.
