Description

This is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for Commercial Items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number VA119-15-Q-0306 is issued for this combined synopsis/solicitation; this solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This solicitation is being conducted under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. This combined synopsis/solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-83 dated 02 July 2015. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 335911- Rechargeable battery packs made from purchased battery cells and housings. The Small Business size standard is 500 employees. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a single-award Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Purchase Order (PO) in accordance with FAR Part 13.302. Award will be based on the lowest price technically acceptable quote. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), LETC located at 7600 Metropolis Drive Bld.5, Austin Texas, 78744 has a requirement for the purchase and installation of 80 new replacement batteries for an Eaton 9390 Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS); (Serial Number EC201CAA04). These batteries are required for replacement of existing batteries due to degradation and encroachment of end of lifecycle.
