- In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, the U.S. Department of Energy?s (DOE) Integrated Support Center-Oak Ridge (ISC-OR) intends to award a sole source contract to Federal Solutions, Inc. to provide for supplemental administrative support for the OCRWM/Yucca Mountain Contract Closeout Project and the EECBG Closeout Project. DOE requires administrative assistance in performing the complex administrative functions necessary to close out these programs and associated sub-contracts. During performance, the contractor will be required to interface with all parties that have a role in processing records to closeout, follow-up on issues involved in the closeout process, compile necessary closeout documentation for review and approval and assist with the process of answering and/or tracking resulting action items. The total estimated value is less than $40,000.00 over an estimated three (3) month period from contract awar d. Firms who want to challenge the sole source must submit a letter of interest that demonstrates their firm?s ability to provide an equivalent product and rationale as to why they should be considered, as described above. All interested parties must respond by 12:00 PM (EDT), September 27, 2015, to Bryce Robinson, U.S. Department of Energy, 200 Administration Rd., Oak Ridge, TN 37830. Email: bryce.robinson@science.doe.gov. No reimbursement for any costs associated with providing the capability information will be provided by DOE. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR Part 13. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Award is anticipated on or around September 28, 2015.
