Description
The Defense Logistics Agency, DLA Maritime Norfolk of Norfolk Naval Shipyard Contracting Office, intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price contract to procure (2) Automatic Industrial Film Processors to be used in Code 135 of Norfolk Naval Shipyard by authorized Dell reseller. The North American Industry Classification System NAICS) code is 334515 (Instrument Manufacturing for Measuring & Testing Electricity & Electrical Signals; x-ray equipment supplies). The procurement will be 100% set-aside. The contract line item is as follows: 0001: Nomenclature: Automatic I ndustrial Film Processors (2) EA Automatic Film Processors requires careful control of the processor and processing solutions (Chemicals). The exposed film is placed in one end of the processor runs automatically through a set of dip tanks, roller racks, and drying system to emerge dry and ready for viewing (inspection) out of the other side of processor. Processor Requirements for a" dry to dry" film processor system: •1. Preprogram at least 8 processing Cycles and programmable controls for ease of operation in processing film •2. Processing Capacity shall not be below 32 sheets of 1 4"x 1 7" film per hour •3. Automatic film feeder with" film in " detection alarm •4. Light tight Covers •5. Dark room panels •6. Low level/upper level alarm system (s) for tank levels and unit temperatures •7. Electrical requirements: 220 volts (or US Industry Standard), 1 6 Amp, 50/60 Hz (US industry standard) •8. Film progress monitoring system •9. Developer tank •10. Fixer tank •11. Intermediate wash •12. System filters •13. Drying system •14. Film output and receiving tray •15. Separate Tank drainage for ease of cleaning •16. Shall feature infrared drying capability to reduce the consumption of electricity and guarantee uniform dryness. •17. Shall feature an audio and visual signal to indicate when the next film can be fed into the processor. •18. Shall have five rollers to accurately measure the surface area of the film. •19. Shall include a manufacturer's warranty for a minimum period of one year from date of delivery. •20. Seller must provide at least 8 hours of on-site familiarization and maintenance level training. The solicitation number is SPMYM1-15-Q-0130 and the solicitation is expected to be posted on or around 24 September 2015 and close 28 September 2015.
