- This is a sources sought notice for information and acquisition planning purposes. This is not a request for quote (RFQ) and a formal solicitation is not available at this time. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government to issue an RFQ, contract, or order. The Government will not pay for any effort expended or any material provided in response to this announcement, nor will the Government return any data provided. On behalf of the Department of Veterans Affairs, the National Cemetery Administration, Stafford, Virginia is seeking contractors with the expertise to provide all labor, supervision, tools, transportation, equipment, and materials necessary to replace seventeen (17) Rain Bird irrigation system satellite controllers on board Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, CO 80235. The contractor shall furnish, new, the controllers and additional equipment necessary for the installation and programming of controllers including performing the additional work associated with installation. The contractor personnel doing the actual satellite controller replacements shall be licensed and/or a certified Rain Bird technician. The contractor shall program the controllers and coordinate the operation of the controllers with the central control system with the assistance and supervision of an authorized Rain Bird controller/central control system representative. The contractor shall provide system training to two cemetery employees. Refer to the attached Scope of Work for remaining details. The applicable NAICS code is 238990 All Other Specialty Trade Contractors. Interested sources are invited to respond to this sources sought announcement by using the attached form entitled "Sources Sought - Contractor Information Form". A copy of the Rain Bird certifications shall be included as part of the submission. The attached form provides a place for recording relevant past performance information. The Government will evaluate each respondent's capabilities statement to determine if the respondent has the requisite expertise and experience to complete the requirements described in the Scope of Work. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. The Government does not commit to providing a response to any comment or questions. No basis for a claim against the Government shall arise as a result of this announcement. Responses should be received no later than close of business, Wednesday, 07 October 2015, Eastern Time.
