- The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), intends to issue a firm-fixed-price purchase order to Lange Containment Systems, Inc. for 60 mil TAN Polypropylene Snow Pillows. Twenty snow pillows are required. Pillows must be 10 foot in diameter. Pillows may be round or hexagonal with six sides. Pillows must support 150 gallons of mix of 50% water and 50% polyethylene-glycol-ethanol solution. No wicking or osmosis can be allowed. Pillows must withstand 10-15 psi pressure. Polypropylene material must be thick enough to withstand and be resistant to abrasion and tearing, minimum of 0.060' in membrane thickness. Polypropylene material and pillow must be able to withstand temperatures in the range of -55 degrees F to 110 degrees F. Top (fill) bung must be located in the center of the pillow with 1" female NTP fitting. Bottom (outlet) bung must be located approximately 18 inches from outer edge of pillow with 1" female NTP fitting. Delivery of all snow pillows is required 4-6 weeks after purchase order has been issued. Product must be delivered F.O.B. Destination to USDA-NRCS, Snow Survey Shop, Denver Federal Center, Bldg. 45, Door S5, Denver, CO 80225. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Part 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED ON THE BASIS OF OFFERS RECEIVED IN RESPONSE TO THIS NOTICE. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. This is a notice only and a solicitation will not be issued. USDA NRCS will not respond to requests for solicitation and will not pay for information received in response to this announcement. No solicitation document is available. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 314999 and Business Size Standard is 500 employees.
