Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 11, in accordance with FAR 6.302.1 (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Siemens Medical Solutions, 51 Valley Stream Parkway, Malvern, PA 19355 for the emergency repair of a Siemens Pet-CT PC. NAICS 811219 applies. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must also clearly indicate and prove that the prospective vendor is a Siemens technician. Prospective vendors must also show clear and convincing evidence that they were trained on and exclusively use Siemens parts for the maintenance of their Pet-CT PC systems. Responses must be emailed to kelly.poole@va.gov. Responses must be received no later than 12:00 PM EDST/EDT on September 28, 2015. No mail or telephone inquiries with questions will be accepted.
