Description

The VA Northern California Health Care System (VANCHCS) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with West-Com & T.V, Inc. Nurse Call Systems, Inc. The proposed contract action is for the purchase of further expansion of Nurse Call systems into the Sacramento VA Hospital Emergency room as construction continues. The Nurse Call system provides a direct communication link between patients and the nurse station to enable critical and timely response to the patients and overall support of the patient care protocol. West-Com Nurse Call & T.V, Inc. is the sole supplier of West-Com Nurse Call System. This sole source action is in accordance with the statutory authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Only One Responsible Source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can provide an equivalent products/service may give written notification to the Contracting Officer for consideration. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements. Responses are due by September 8, 2015 at 12:00 PM Noon PST. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses must be e-mailed to jonathan.ursino@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. No reimbursement for any costs associated with providing capability statements will be provided by the Government.
