Scope of Work Bid Schedule PROVIDE FIRE ALARM EQUIPMENT AND MAIANTENANCE AT HOMESTEAD AIR RESERVE BASE, HOMESTEAD, FL (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued (ii) The solicitation number for this procurement is W91278-15-T-0037 and is hereby issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-83 effective August 3, 2015. (iv) This procurement is set-aside for small business concerns. The associated NAICS code is 561621 with a corresponding small business size standard of $20,500,000.00 million. (v) The contractor shall furnish all personnel, equipment, and supplies to provide fire alarm supply services for Homestead Air Reserve Base, Homestead, FL. The contractor shall provide a Project Manager who shall have the overall responsibility for the performance of the work, and a Site Superintendent who shall be physically present on-site during all work hours. There are approximately 45 buildings for service and maintenance. (vi) SPECIFIC TASKS The Contractor shall be directly responsible for ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and completion of all tasks assigned under this contract. Specifically, the Contractor shall: A. Provide all supplies (batteries, strobes, horns, detectors, etc), hardware, manpower, equipment (e.g., dollies, hand-trucks, ladders, tools) required to accomplish the installations of fire alarm equipment. B. Perform communications checks with the Base Fire Station on all pieces of equipment after installation and provide appropriate documentation. C. Provide all the necessary labor and material handling equipment required to carry out responsibilities within the contract period of performance. The installation of equipment shall be completed per the Government- Contractor coordinated and approved schedule to ensure minimal delay of opening the new facility. D. Be responsible for all equipment until obtaining final approval and acceptance of the fully-installed. E. Notify the Fire Department everyday you are on site and identify which buildings you will be working on so they are aware of any annunciations that might occur in a building in which work is being performed. The contractor shall provide the fire department with the name and phone number of the Project Manager or Site Superintendant so that they are constantly in contact with the Fire Department. F. Properly dispose of all lead acid batteries by delivering all removed batteries to the Base Recycle Center for government disposal. (NOTE) Period of Performance. The period of performance is from 30 Sep 2015 - 31 Dec 2015. The lowest price technically acceptable (LPTA) process described in FAR 15.101-2 will be used, meaning the award will be made on the basis of the lowest evaluated price of proposals meeting or exceeding the acceptability standards for non-cost factors.
