The initial focus is to assess the effectiveness of using HPEM against specific targets of interest to the warfighter. Based on the assessment, an operational utility assessment can be developed and the effectiveness and impact of the concept to mission operations can be performed. The HPEM concept assessment and evaluation will determine the technical areas that need to be further developed and risk mitigation efforts that need to be pursued in order to demonstrate the technical capability in the future. Technical reports generated from this effort will summarize the concepts, system effectiveness, technical/system performance, operational utility assessment results, and summary of mission effectiveness.
