- J&A for Services through July 31, 2018 The Office of the Chief Economist (OCE), along with partnering agencies advise the Secretary on the implications of economic events, policies, and programs affecting the U.S. food and fiber system and rural areas. The OCE also issues long- and short-term forecasts of U.S. and global crop and livestock commodities supply and use, which are critical for public and private decision making. A small office, the OCE must obtain, on an ad hoc basis, data from a wide variety of hard-to-find sources. These data are used to provide background information and/or to serve as a basis for economic analysis and forecasts needed by the Secretary, senior decision makers in the Department, and the food and fiber sector of the United States. USDA has awarded a sole source purchase order to Interactive Data. See justification for additional supporting information. Base Year- October 1, 2015- September 30, 2016 Option Year 1- October 1, 2016-September 30, 2017 Option Year 2- October 1, 2017-July 31, 2018 Total Estimated Value: $148K
