Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs currently occupies 13,600 net usable sq. ft. (nusf) of office space at 2301 East Lamar Blvd., Arlington TX 76006. The current lease expires on September 30, 2015. The VA is conducting a competition for alternative space and will relocate if advantageous to the Government. The cost of moving, alterations, and other factors will be considered when determining whether to relocate. The space must be on no more than one floor, and provide at least 13,600 nusf of space. On-site parking for 60 vehicles is required. A full service lease for up to five years with the government having 120 day termination rights will be considered. Occupancy required by November 1, 2015. To be considered, space must be within or bordering a delineated area as follows: Space must be North - HWY. 183; South - Interstate 20; East - HWY 360: West - Cooper Street Offerors must provide evidence that properties are outside the 100-year flood plain. A market survey of properties offered for lease will be considered will be conducted by the VA. The government is limited by law ( 41 C.F.R 102-73.55) to pay no more than the appraised fair rental value for space. Respondents are advised that the VA assumes no responsibility to award a lease based upon responses to this advertisement.
