- NAICS Code: 532490 with a Size Standard of $32.5 Million THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT to conduct market research for The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). NIST is seeking a capable vendor to provide the services noted below on the NIST Gaithersburg, MD Campus. Contractor to provide a minimum of 1,000 tons up to 1,500 tons of temporary cooling via a portable chiller(s) at one building connection point. The existing connection point consists of a 14" chilled water supply and return valve connections. NIST anticipates the need for the temporary cooling to be April 2016. The cooling would be provided (operational - running) from a Friday at 1700 hours straight through (continuous) to a Sunday at 2300 hours. On Monday the chiller(s) and generator(s) would be removed from the NIST campus. Contractor will connect temporary chiller(s) to existing chilled water supply and return piping located outside Bldg. 215. It is anticipated the temporary connection lines would be less than 200 feet (each) for both supply and return. The delta "T" for the chiller operation shall be a maximum of 12 degrees Fahrenheit. The minimum flow shall be 2 GPM/ton. The contractor shall also provide a generator(s) rental to provide electricity/power to the temporary chiller. All fueling operations to include the purchase, delivery, and dispensing of the fuel would be the contractor's responsibility. The generator and chiller are not permitted to go offline during the operational period noted above. Contractor will be responsible for all aspect of delivery, installation, equipment, commissioning, and 24/7 operation of the chillers and generators. The contractor would also be responsible for delivery and removing the equipment. All interested firms shall provide the following information: company name, address, point of contact, phone number, email address, capability statement not to exceed 10 pages single sided, and business size (Small, Large, 8a, Service Disabled veteran-own, etc.) NOTE: All vendors must be registered in SAM www.sam.gov Responses to this notice must be received by this office no later than 2:00 PM ET October 15, 2015.
