Description
The U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Job Corps, has a requirement for a qualified Design-Build Contractor (DB) to provide design and construction services for the renovation of existing classroom and administrative spaces in federally owned Buildings No. 2 and No. 4. Space renovations are required to facilitate the relocation of the classroom and administrative spaces currently housed in Building No. 12 into Buildings. No. 2 and 4 at the Los Angeles Job Corps Center. Renovations include, but are not limited to new gypsum board partition walls, lighting, HVAC and the installation of a new 2-story handicap accessible hydraulic elevator. In addition, these services shall include sampling, testing and reporting of asbestos and lead paint; development of construction documents for the remediation, and monitoring services during remediation work. The estimated price range for design and construction is between $500,000 to $1,000,000. Interested firms are requested to submit a statement of qualifications. Your statement of qualifications should demonstrate the capacity of your firm to perform the services described above. Your statement of qualification shall include the following information: 1. Provide examples of two or more design/build renovation projects with a $500,000 to $1,000,000 constructed value performed by your firm within the last five years. 2. Provide previous project examples that include the location of the project, the project owner, brief and concise description of the project scope, and specialty design consultants employed. 3. Contractor has completed two or more projects in the region of country the project is located in the last five years indicating familiarity with state and local codes, environmental conditions, economic conditions and experience/qualifications of local design consultants. Using the previous project examples indicate the location of the projects (City, State). 4. Using the previous project examples include the Contract Award/NTP date, the original contract completion date, and the actual contract completion date for each project. 5. Using the previous project examples indicate the contract award amount, the final contract value, and a percentage of change order value relative to the total construction value for each project. 6. Outline your established Safety and Quality Control procedures and protocols, which are consistently applied to all projects. Firms responding to this Sources Sought Notice should submit the minimum information necessary for the Government to make a determination that the source is capable of satisfying the requirements. The response must be specific to each of the criteria listed above to demonstrate that the respondent is capable. The submissions shall not exceed 20 pages. All responses are due on October 20, 2015, by 2:00 PM EDT, and shall be submitted electronically via e-mail to: garnett.eileen@dol.gov Eileen Garnett, Contract Specialist. Acknowledgment of receipt of responses will not be made, nor will respondents be notified on the results of the Government's evaluation of the information received. A determination by the Government to proceed with the acquisition is within the discretion of the Government. Please be advised that telephone inquiries will not be accepted. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. A prospective offeror that is interested in obtaining a contract award with the Government must be registered in the Federal Government's System for Award Management (SAM) database.
