- Estimated issue date October 15, 2015 and estimated closing/response date November 16, 2015 Purchase Request#: FD2030-16-00240 RFP#: SPRTA1-15-R-0394 Nomenclature/Noun : Aircraft Control Panel for the KC-135 Aircraft, NSN 1680-01-146-4911RK, with Part Number 458-50001-1 or Vendor Part Number 899944-01. AMC: 3B History: The previous order was to Kidde Technologies Inc. under contract SPRTA1-15-M-0209 on September 23, 2015 for 50 each. L/I 0001 - Is for a 3-Year Basic Requirements Contract for a Best Estimated Quantity (BEQ) of 86. Mandatory Language: Note: Item Description: Length 12.6800 inches, Height 7.9500 inches, Width 7.9000 inches, Weight 8.600 (LB). Item Function: Alarm control is intended to monitor overheats and fire detection system sensing elements. It provides warning to alert the crew of overheat or fire in the engine compartment. Currently Kidde Technologies Inc. (Cage 61423) is the only known sources that can satisfy the Government requirements. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firms(s) listed: Kidde Technologies Inc. (Cage 61423). This part must be acquired from a manufacturing source specified on the Source Control Drawing 458-50001 (CAGE: 82918). Suitable technical data, Government data rights, or manufacturing knowledge are not available to permit acquisition from other sources, nor qualification testing of another part nor use of a second source part in the intended application. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program Director or Contracting Officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government Personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposal or in the source selection process.
