- Justification & Approval The intent of this project is to complete window replacement repairs to the Multi-Mission Building at Coast Guard Station Menemsha, Chilmark, MA on Martha's Vineyard Island. The work entails replacing all exterior windows in the 3 story (plus basement & cupola) building and all ancillary work. This includes approximately 9 basement windows, 10 1st deck windows, 16 2nd deck windows, 6 loft windows & 9 cupola windows. The windows will be replaced with hurricane resistant, wood aluminum clad double hung windows. These new windows will have simulated divided lite system, and insulating & hurricane/impact resistant glass. The 9 basement windows will be replaced with similar but fixed (non-opening) transom windows. Some vinyl shutters will be replaced as well to match existing and other related work. The anticipated construction time is 150 days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The estimated cost range of this project is between $200,000 and $400,000. Bid (SF24), payment and performance bonds (SF25, SF25A) will be required. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238990, All Other Trade Specialty Contractors, with a small business size standard of $15.0 million. Solicitation packages will be available on or about 15 October 2015. The tentative date set for bid opening is 24 November 2015 at 2:00 p.m. This acquisition is issued pursuant to FAR Part 14. Pursuant to FAR Part 19.5 Small Business set-aside procedures, this solicitation is 100% set-aside for Small Business concerns. Our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form.
