THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY!!!!. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. Seeking interested and qualified Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB)/Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) prime Remediation and Abatement contractors ONLY to perform the following scope of work that involves patching, repairing, abating asbestos and lead paint and painting the existing building 107/108 exterior walls of stucco, concrete, trim and building accessories such as louvers, railings, chimneys, and other mechanical appurtenances that are connected to the exterior surfaces. The work is to be performed at Northern Arizona VA Health Care System, 500 Hwy 89 N. facility in Prescott, Arizona 86313. Work to be performed will be within the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Sector 562910, Remediation Services, with a small business size standard of $20.5 million. This project will require specialized trade construction requirements of this project of 25% labor costs of this project in accordance with VAAR 852.219-10 PERCENTAGE OF SELF PERFORMED WORK your firm can commit to accomplishing construction with in-house (not subcontracted) labor to meet the work requirements of this project. The campus consists of numerous buildings spread out over an active urban campus setting where the contractor shall furnish labor and materials and perform work for re-coating exterior wall surfaces of Building 107 including abatement and disposal of hazardous materials, and other work as required by drawings and specifications. Preparation and painting of the exterior surfaces will use an appropriate paint medium and color to complement the existing architectural style and the historic character of the NAVAHCS campus which is a Historic District on the National Historic Register. The project magnitude for a future construction project on this campus as a result of this completed master plan effort would be between in the VAAR 836.204 (g) Construction Magnitude Range of $1,000,000.00 to $2,000,000.00. Contractors are required to be licensed or certified for Asbestos Abatement, Hazardous Waste Remediation, and Lead Abatement in the state in which they are Headquartered and must also be currently valid and registered in Vetbiz system at https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/ and the System for Award Management (SAM) at https://www.sam.gov/index.html/#1 Request interested firms respond to this notice and provide the following: (a) Identify your FIRM'S INFORMATION [name, address, phone number, CAGE code]; (b) Provide a CAPABILITY STATEMENT [including a summary of relevant, recent (within the last three fiscal years) performance history of specific similar above ground and underground new Chilled Water Line installations(identify the contract/project number, project title, dollar amount, point(s) of contact with telephone/fax numbers, and in what capacity (prime, subcontractor, etc.) you performed)]; (c) Confirm your BONDING CAPABILITY (the minimum anticipated for this work action would be less than $10 million); (d) Identify the PERCENT OF SELF PERFORMED WORK your firm can commit to accomplishing construction with in-house (not subcontracted) labor to meet the specialized trade construction requirements of this project of 25% labor costs of this project in accordance with VAAR 852.219-10. This request for information (RFI) notice is issued for planning purposes only and will not be released outside the agency. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or award a contract. Responses to this notice will assist the Government in identifying potential sources and determining if a set-aside of the solicitation is appropriate. Submissions must be submitted by e-mail only to James.Vercoe@VA.GOV and received no later than 4:30 p.m., Arizona Time, on 8 October 2015.
