- This contract action was accomplished using other than competitive procedures because there is only one responsible source and no other supplies or service will satisfy agency requirements (FAR 6.302-1). See posted J&A for further information. The Government requires expedited services and repair of overhead doors at Fort Drum, New York. The Contractor shall provide an assessment, overhaul, and the return a quantity of two (2) - 75'-0 quote mark (L) x 14'-0 quote mark (H) hoist up fabric overhead doors to original OEM condition. Furnish, demo & install for repairs and preventative maintenance to include, but not limited to; two (2) cable idler pulleys w/bushings and shafts, perform preventative maintenance On two (2) parthenon doors 75' x 14', and perform adjustments and provide lubrications as needed. The Contractor shall perform a visual and technical inspection in accordance with the latest revision of the Overhead Door OEM manual and report all deficiencies found. This work will include a technical Test and Evaluation (TT&E) of all related doors and assembly components. The Government would be seriously injured unless the agency is permitted to limit the number of sources from which to solicit this bid or proposal. The specialized overhead doors were manufactured and installed by International Door, Inc. There is one door that is inoperable right now and it became inoperable on 15 September 2015. The maintenance crews are working one operational door and if that door becomes inoperable, the mission will stop and the aircraft will not be able to exit the hanger to fly the mission until the doors are repaired. International Door, Inc's experts manufactured and installed these doors and work on the doors every day and will be able to resolve any issues with the doors in an expeditious manner and have the doors up and running in order to continue their military operational missions. IAW FAR 6.302-1, there is only one responsible source and no other supplies or service will satisfy agency requirements.
