- Description
- The goal and expectation of this contract procure a vendor who can provide personnel capable of repairs, parts removal and installation of a new 30kW generator for the MCV, to include all of the associated equipment, additions, and modifications to install the larger power system. The maintenance repairs to be performed under this contract will be at the Pentagon Reservation. Contractor personnel performing work under this contract must have a favorable National Criminal Investigation Check (NCIC), valid driver's license, and two forms of identification at time of the proposal submission. The Contractor must also maintain the level of security required for the life of the contract. 5. Scope. To successfully achieve this requirement the contractor shall: (1) The vendor shall remove existing mobile command vehicle generator with a Kohler 30kW diesel generator BRAND NAME OR EQUAL from 20kW generator to 30kW and mounting frame, fabricate, and install new mounting base frame. The replacement of the generator will be at the Pentagon Reservation for three weeks for installing/replacement of the generator. (2) The Contractor shall provide all skilled personnel, material, equipment, travel, resources, and staff accommodations associated with performing the following tasks (3) The contract period of performance shall begin thirty (30) days after contract award. The contractor shall within 3 weeks, initiate actions to correct all deficiencies found. (4) The contractor will adhere to the Installation Warranty. The warranty includes wiring and installation workmanship for 2 years beginning on the date the vehicle is available to the customer. (5) The generator Manufacturer will provide an extended warranty on the generator for 5 years. 6. Specific Tasks. Task 1- Contractor shall uninstall equipment 20wK generator from the mobile command vehicle Task 2- Contractor shall install generator to 30kW to the mobile command vehicle. Task 3- Contractor is expected to provide repairs or replacement services to include any required materials. Task 4- The contractor shall install Kohler 30kW diesel generator for wiring of new generator to electrical panel. Task 5- The contractor shall install larger transfer switch for power source selection in electrical panel in rear area of vehicle. Task 6- The contractor shall install fabricates and install new mounting base frame for new street side generator. Task 7- The contractor shall install Kohler 30kW diesel generator and remote radiator in existing generator location for Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning system. Task 8- The vendor shall provide yearly maintenance on the generator. 7. Place of Performance. Preferred Place of installation is the Pentagon Reservation, but repairs/installation at the vendor's place of business are permitted.
