- REGISTRATION FORM DESCRIPTION OF SILC BSS The U.S. Coast Guard Shore Infrastructure Logistics Center (SILC) Base Services and Support Contracting Office will be hosting an Industry Day event in Alameda, California on Thursday, 19 November 2015. This one-day event will consist of one-on-one meetings between vendors and Contracting Officers/Small Business Specialists to learn more about how to do business with us. Vendors are required to pre-register for a one-on-one meeting. For more information, please see "Registration" below. WHEN: November 19, 2015 10:00a.m. to 2:00 p.m. WHERE: ALBERT H. DEWITT OFFICERS' CLUB 641 WEST REDLINE AVENUE ALAMEDA, CA 94501 HTTP://ALAMEDACA.GOV/RECREATION/ALBERT-H-DEWITT-OFFICERS-CLUB-OCLUB WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Companies, large and small, including socioeconomic businesses that are interested in SILC Base Services and Support contracting and subcontracting opportunities in areas including, but not limited to: janitorial services; grounds/landscaping services; food services; housing maintenance services; security guard services; and maritime supplies such as buoys and lanterns. Representatives from the emergency contracting branch will also be present to discuss oil spill and other response contracting agreements, such as Basic Ordering Agreements (BOAs). Prior federal contracting experience is not required. Please see attached Industry Day presentation provided by SILC Base Services and Support contracting office for more information about how the buying unit is structured and the goods and services it buys. Please note that SILC BSS does not procure IT related services or supplies, so vendors in those areas should contact the Coast Guard's C41T small business point of contact for information. Please limit the number of attendees from your company to two (2) people, as appointments are limited and reservations will be based on a first come-first served basis. There is no cost to attend this event; however, space is limited to the first 100 registrants. There will be no refreshments served at this event. To register for this event, please print the Registration Card below, complete and email a copy to: SILCBSS-SmallBusiness@uscg.mil If you have any questions, please send email correspondence to the email address above. Registration will close at 1500 EST on 6 NOVEMBER 2015 or when attendance limit is reached; whichever is sooner.
