- Sources Sought B-2 Maintenance Printer Repair SOURCES SOUGHT 5 October 2015 NOTE: There is no solicitation available at this time and requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. This Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS) conducted by the United States Air Force (USAF) concerns the repair of the B-2 maintenance printer, the identification of potential sources, and small business set-aside opportunities. This SSS is not a Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quote (RFQ), or solicitation, of any kind, and is not an indication that a contractual commitment will exist for this requirement at any time in the future. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market research. There are currently no funds available to support this repair requirement. The 424th Supply Chain Management Squadron (424 SCMS/GUME), located at Tinker Air Force Base (TAFB), requests information, pursuant to FAR Part 10, in support of Market Research, that will identify potential sources for the repair/overhaul/re-manufacture of the NSN(s) listed below. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this requirement, and to determine if an Industry Day and Presolicitation Conference are necessary. The Government does not possess the associated technical data to provide potential sources, nor does the Government possess qualification requirements or Technical Orders. The proposed North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 336413, which has a corresponding Size Standard of 1,000 employees. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. The Government is interested in learning if any businesses including: Large Business, Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Businesses 8(a)s, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, Hubzone Businesses, and Women-Owned Small Businesses, can perform this requirement. The Government requests that interested parties respond to this notice, if applicable, and identify your small business status with reference to the aforementioned NAICS code. Additionally, please provide any anticipated teaming arrangements, along with a description of similar services offered to the Government and to commercial customers in the past three years. Any responses involving teaming agreements should delineate between the work that will be accomplished by the prime and the work accomplished by the teaming partners. This Sources Sought is to notify companies that the USAF is seeking sources for the repair and or overhaul of the following item in support the B-2 weapons system. The contractor shall be capable of furnishing all required labor, material, facilities and equipment to accomplish repair/overhaul/re-manufacture, test, preservation and packaging, and return to the Government a completely serviceable unit. The contractor will be responsible for supply chain management, logistics, forecasting of parts, long-lead parts procurement, reparable forecasting, obsolescence issues, and delivery of serviceable assets. The contractor may be responsible for recurring and nonrecurring engineering services associated with becoming a qualified source. The Government requests that interested parties respond to this notice in writing. Include the details of your ability to provide either a copy of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM's) CAGE: 54318 and the Astro Med Incorporated repair manual (including disassembly, repair, test and an illustrated parts breakdown including part numbers), or provide a copy of the OEM licensee agreement certifying your business is approved by the OEM to repair this equipment.
