- The BAT NEWS, dated 5 Oct 15. ANNOUNCEMENT AS OF 5 Oct 15 POSTED: BAT NEWS, dated 5 Oct 15 The BAT NEWS is hereby introduced as an electronic means to augment and further inform industry on the latest evolving program developments and news related to the Bomber Armament Tester acquisition. The BAT NEWS is intended to encourage an open dialogue between our industry partners and the Government BAT acquisition team to increase communication and transparency with the objective to achieve a more streamlined and comprehensive acquisition. The BAT NEWS will provide a snap shot and brief summary of what is posted on Federal Business Opportunities (FBO), to include announcements, documents, information requests, program developments, and food for thought tidbits. Please note that all documents are to be considered as DRAFT until the formal Request for Proposal (RFP) release. We encourage and welcome industry review and comments. All comments, questions, and/or concerns should be addressed to the Contracting Officer, Sandra Harvey, 478.222.2125, Sandra.Harvey.2@us.af.mil. ANNOUNCEMENT AS OF 22 Sep 15 For acquisition planning purposes, the Government requests all interested industry partners declare their intent to propose as a Prime or Subcontractor. Request information be provided via email to Sandra Harvey, Sandra.Harvey.2@us.af.mil, on or before 12:00, Friday, 25 Sept 15. ANNOUNCEMENT AS OF 11 Sep 15 Posted for review, comment and response: (1) DRAFT BAT Performance Specification, dated 9Sep15, Rev 5 (2) DRAFT BAT System SOW, dated 11Sep15, Rev 2 The above mentioned DRAFT BAT Performance Specification, dated 9Sep15, Rev 5, and DRAFT BAT System SOW, dated 11Sep15, Rev 2, supersedes all previously posted DRAFT BAT Performance Specification's and DRAFT Statement of Works. Request questions and comments on any area(s) that require clarification on the referenced, DRAFT BAT Performance Specification, dated 9Sep, Rev 5, and DRAFT BAT System SOW, dated 11Sep15, Rev 2, be provided via email to Sandra Harvey, Sandra.Harvey.2@us.af.mil, on or before COB, Friday, 18 Sep 15. Notice to data requesters: FINAL volume (Vol 4) of the BAT Program Bidder's Library DVD has been shipped out to the respective companies' data custodians. An email notification was sent to your respective identified data custodian with the tracking number information. Is there any question about what the BAT needs to do, or how it needs to perform? b. Do you foresee any technical requirements that are unduly challenging? With the subsequent data release provided in Volume 2 and previously released data, the BAT program request industry provide comments on the data received, no later than 10 Jul 15.
