Description

This announcement is to provide notification of the Department of Veterans Affairs, Iowa City, IA intent to enter into a sole source purchase. This service contains in part; proprietary software, factory authorized parts required for use by factory authorized technicians only. Vendor information below; Steris Corporation 5960 Heisley Rd Mentor, OH 44060-1834 This is a service contract for Preventive and Unscheduled maintenance of 24 each, Steris Steam Sterilizing machines, Vision washers and SCS Conveyors. This equipment is located at the Iowa City VA Health Care System, Iowa City, IA. This agreement will be for a twelve month period with four option years. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code that applies to this service is 811219. This procurement involves licensed, proprietary software, software upgrades and proprietary passwords. Any interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities to respond to the requirement, and should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities to provide service and maintenance and software upgrades. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements must provide written notification to the Contracting Officer by Wednesday, October 14th, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. local time. Information should be sent to Scott Morrison, Contracting Officer, at scott.morrison2@va.gov. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received by the response date the Department of Veterans Affairs will proceed with the intended agreement. All questions concerning this requirement must be in writing and submitted via email to scott.morrison2@va.gov.
