- This is not a request for either a quote or proposal. This announcement is considered market research in accordance with FAR Part 10. NO SOLICITATION IS BEING ISSUED AT THIS TIME. THE DLA LAND AND MARITIME IS ISSUING THIS SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS AS A MEANS OF CONDUCTING MARKET RESEARCH TO IDENTIFY PARTIES HAVING AN INTEREST IN AND THE RESOURCES TO SUPPORT THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS: ITEM: Resistor, Variable, Motor Driven NSN 59 05-01-203-8072 is to be procured in-accordance-with drawing(s) Electromech Technologies (54395) P/N U-307133 In-Accordance- With Drawings (78286) PL70301-02109 Rev. "G", (78286) 70301-02109 Rev. "N" and Rev. "C2", and STD NR MIL-STD-129R, Rev. "R". Electromech Technologies (54395) P/N U-307133 is currently the only known approved source for this item. NOTE: This part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source(s) require acquisition of the part from the approved source(s). The approved source(s) retain data rights, manufacturing knowledge, or technical data that are not economically available to the Government, and the data or knowledge is essential to maintaining the quality of the part. An alternate source must qualify in accordance with the design control activity's procedures, as approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity. The qualification procedures must be approved by the Government engineering activity having jurisdiction over the part in the intended application. The technical data cited above is not complete, however, the item provided must meet the requirements of the cited technical data in addition to the requirements of the part numbered item listed above. A quantity of 62 each up to 300 each may be required and will be shipped to a DLA stocking location. The purpose of this synopsis is to locate sources interested in becoming approved sources and for any additional approved sources. Submission Instructions: Responses to this Request for Information (RFI) must be sent to Kenneth Planty via email at kenneth.planty@dla.mil by the response date listed in this synopsis and should include in their submission, information on their products/services, company, CAGE code, capability, company size/profile, and any other supportive information. Respondents will be placed on the solicitation mailing list. This RFI is for market research purposes only. Any information submitted is at the company's own expense. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs associated with submission of capability statements in connection with the market survey. Any information provided is voluntary.
