THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information purposes to survey product availability and planning purposes. This RFI neither constitutes a Request for Proposal, nor does it restrict the Government from an ultimate acquisition approach. This RFI should not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose. Requests for solicitation will not receive a response. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any input as a result of this market survey. The U.S. Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey. If a formal solicitation is generated at a later date, a solicitation notice will be published. No award will be made as a result of this market survey. Proprietary information or trade secrets should be clearly identified. All data received in response to the RFI that is marked or designated as corporate or proprietary information will be safeguarded in accordance with the applicable Government regulations. The Government shall not be liable for or suffer any consequential damages for any proprietary information not properly identified. Description: NSWC IHEODTD is requesting information on prosthetic gloves from vendors that have or can manufacture the gloves in accordance with the following salient characteristics. These gloves shall contain fingerprints and be fabricated from PVC, silicone, or an inert material that is impervious to exposure to most standard laboratory chemicals. The gloves shall be issued as a pair (left/right hand) and be reusable. The gloves do not need to have the appearance of realistic skin but perform its intended functions as if on a prosthetic hand. The gloves should be able to fit over a complete, intact human hand. Users of the gloves must have the dexterity expected as if wearing protective laboratory gloves. This market survey solicits vendors' information that fully explains their product's features, capabilities, and performance as well as an estimated product cost as detailed below: Technical Description Format SUBMISSIONS: Information may be provided in the form of white papers, PowerPoint presentations, brochures, and specifications sheets.
