Description

Justification for an Exception to Fair Opportunity Under the Authority of FAR 16.505(b)(2)(i)(C) The NIEHS Office of Management (OM), Computer Technology Branch (CTB) has a requirement to continue the services currently provided under the NIEHS Service Desk and Infrastructure Technology Services (NSITES) task order. The current NSITES task order was awarded to Attain, LLC (Attain) via Task Order No. HHSN27300001 - HHSN316201200117W under the NITAAC/CIO-SP3 (Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract solution. These continued services will also be procured under a new sole source follow-on task order under the NITAAC/CIO-SP3 IDIQ. The period of performance for this requirement will be four (4) months and will provide contract coverage from September 22, 2015 through January 21, 2016. This continuation of services will allow NIEHS sufficient lead-time to finalize a one-year task order to provide continuation of services while the anticipated long-term (five (5) year) competitive acquisition strategy and source selection are finalized and executed.
