Description

SPECIAL NOTICE: The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 11, in accordance with FAR 6.302.1 (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Abiomed, Inc, 22 Cherry Hill Drive, Danvers, MA 01923-2575, 800-422-8666, for preventative maintenance and emergency repairs to the following government-owned equipment: Abiomed Impella AIC cardiovascular support systems (Qty. 2). Period of performance is January 1, 2016 - December 31, 2016 with four (4)option years exercisable solely at the discretion of the government. NAICS 811219 applies. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must clearly indicate and show proof that they are a Abiomed-certified machine technician. Responses must also show proof that they can perform Abiomed preventative maintenance and emergency repairs. Responses must also clearly indicate they can provide Abiomed original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts for their cardiovascular support systems. Responses must be emailed to kelly.poole@va.gov. Responses must be received no later than 1:00 PM EDST/EDT on October 16, 2015. No mail or telephone inquiries with questions will be accepted.
