- NASA Johnson Space Center (NASA/JSC) plans to conduct an Industry Day for the Custodial, Housekeeping, Waste-Removal, and Insect Extermination (CHWIE) Contract. The presentation for Industry Day will be held at the Gilruth Center, Lone Star Room from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Central Standard Time (CST) on October 20, 2015. Check-in for Industry Day is from 8:00 a.m. 9:00 a.m. (CST) at the Gilruth Center, Lone Star Room. The Government will provide a Site Tour of Representative Buildings at JSC from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (CST): o Load the buses at 12:45 p.m. outside under the canopy of the Gilruth o No more than 2 representatives per company (MUST BE A US CITIZEN) The Government will also hold One-on-One communication opportunities at the Gilruth Center, Rio Grande Room from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (CST), excluding a scheduled lunch break from noon 1:00 p.m., on October 21, 2015. One-on-one meetings will not exceed 25 minutes in length and attendance is limited to four (4) participants from each company/team. Scheduling of One-on-One appointment times will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Following the instructions below, please RSVP by October 14, 2015, by 1:00 p.m. (CST). All One-on-One communication opportunities will be conducted in person. CONTRACT DESCRIPTION: This CHWIE contract will provide the following services to JSC, Ellington Field, and the Sonny Carter Training Facility in Houston, Texas, to include; drinking fountain and wash station cleaning; mirror and glass cleaning; elevator cleaning; dusting/cleaning entrances, hallways, and carpeted areas; clean and service restrooms, medical offices, and laboratories; machine scrub restroom floors; clean inside stairs, stairwells, ramps, and landings; clean inside/outside entrance area floors; hard floor cleaning; vacuum carpet and rugs; spray buffing in hallways; dusting/cleaning; recycling program; solid waste removal; strip, seal, and wax/finish hard floors; steam clean carpet/rugs; pest control; emergency services; and special events. Information concerning the CHWIE procurement and schedule may be viewed at the following website: http://procurement.jsc.nasa.gov/chwie/ CHWIE INDUSTRY DAY: The CHWIE Industry Day is open to firms interested in pursuing contracting opportunities on the CHWIE procurement whether they have performed work at JSC or not. This procurement is a HUBZone Small Business set-aside. All interested parties are encouraged to participate in the Industry Day. To register for CHWIE Industry Day, Site Tour, and One-on-Ones, please provide requested information at https://baforms.typeform.com/to/vJ5pVb by October 14, 2015, by 1:00 p.m. (CST). A confirmation email will be sent to acknowledge your reservation and provide directions to the Gilruth Center. All questions pertaining to the Industry Day shall be submitted in writing via the Anonymous Questions to the Contracting Officer feature on the CHWIE website. Questions are due October 28, 2015, 1:00 p.m. CST. GOALS: 1. Provide information on the current contracts. 2. Promote competition on the potential CHWIE acquisition. 3. Share the Governments current vision and objective for CHWIE. 4. Provide industry with the opportunity to meet with the Government early enough in the procurement process to provide input into the CHWIE procurement strategy. 5. Allow NASA/JSC to better utilize industry input to assist in the development of a future Request for Proposal (RFP) for the CHWIE procurement. ONE-ON-ONE MEETINGS: To facilitate interactive communications with industry, NASA personnel will also be available for private meetings with individual companies in conjunction with Industry Day. The purpose of these meetings is to provide industry with the opportunity to better understand the existing requirements under Custodial Support Services Contract (CSSC) and to allow industry an opportunity to provide input related to the CHWIE procurement. The meetings are intended to be question and answer sessions in which neither side will be making a formal presentation. Any company may request a One-on-One meeting. The meetings will not exceed 25 minutes in length and attendance is limited to four (4) participants from each company/team. Scheduling of appointment times will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Appointments will be scheduled every 30 minutes at the Gilruth Center, Rio Grande Room from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (CST), excluding a scheduled lunch break from noon 1:00 p.m., on October 21, 2015. All One-on-One communication opportunities will be conducted in person. No recording devices are permitted during the Industry Day presentation or One-on-One meetings.
