- *DESCRIPTION Microwave Photonic Links *PROCUREMENT TYPE Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure on a sole source basis for the Microwave Photonic Links - 4 EA in accordance with FAR Part 12 and 13. This requirement is sole sourced to Photonic Systems, Inc. due to unique capability required minimize the unwanted signals such as distortion and spurious signals which typically are generated in the RF signal conversion. The manufacturer, PHOTONIC Systems, Inc., is the sole developer of the Microwave Photonic Links above and therefore, owns all the propriety data rights. The PSI-2602-20L differs from other photonic links in that the link gain is small enough across the entire operating band that minimal signal conditioning/amplification will be required during closed-loop simulations. No other model can match the performance of the PSI-2602-20L across a band this wide in this critical area Any firms believing that they can provide a Quote for N68936-16-T-0014 for the Microwave Photonic Links must be may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting Office no later than 5 days after the date of publication of this notice. All responsible sources must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at the following website: https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM. It must clearly show the firm's ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy or reliability of the Microwave Photonic Links without causing programmatic hardship.
