Description

Sole Source Justification DLA Distribution Center Susquehanna, PA has a requirement for the construction of clinic furniture for integration in a newly renovated clinic group room, waiting room, and industrial hygiene area. Clinic renovation was completed based on integrated functional hardware designs, and space/engineering requirements. The DLA Distribution Acquisition Operations Directorate intends to award on a sole source basis to Supply Source, Inc. under the authority of FAR 13.106-1 (b). The NAICS Code for this procurement is 337211, and the size standard is 500 employees. Sole source documentation is included at attachment #1 to this notice. Three (3) furniture companies were brought in to evaluate the space and clinic furnishing requirements. Only Supply Source, Inc. was able to meet design requirements, space requirements, and DDSP engineering requirements. Clinic renovation was completed based on integrated functional hardware designs submitted by Supply Source, Inc. A renovation of clinic space and monies were rendered to facilitate the renovations based on the Supply Source, Inc. quote, therefore only integrated functional hardware from Supply Source, Inc. will comply with the existing clinic space. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes. All quotes received prior to the closing date of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative responses are received by the date specified above to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, a purchase order will be negotiated and awarded to Supply Source, Inc.
