- Description
- DVE MP Sensors IPT Industry Day Introduction The Degraded Visual Environments Mitigation Program (DVE-MP) is a collaborative, synchronized, knowledge-based Science and Technology program that will develop and demonstrate technologies to aid rotorcraft pilotage under DVE conditions. DVE-MP will investigate the DVE solution trade space with the goal of informing requirements development and acquisition program strategies and spinning off critical technologies along the way. Goals will be accomplished through a combination technology maturation, experimentation and demonstration in three main areas: Sensors, Flight Controls and Cueing. In addition, DVE-MP includes a Complex Computing effort to develop a simulation environment and explore processing architecture trades. Date & Location Date: 5 November 2015 Time: 0800-1700 Location: Fort Belvoir Officers' Club (Belvoir Room) 5500 Schulz Circle #20 Fort Belvoir, VA Note: All Non-DoD CAC holders must check-in at the Fort Belvoir Visitor Center at Tulley Gate. Please be advised that this process can take up to 1 hour, so please plan accordingly. Information This UNCLASSIFIED meeting is open to U.S. Government and U.S. Contractors only. Registration to participate in the meeting is required and must be submitted by 5:00pm Eastern Standard Time (EST) 30 October 2015. Industry partners are limited to two representatives. Please note who will be traveling together on the registration form. Information on this event to include registration and logistics can be found at http://www.nvl.army.mil/events/dvemp/ Purpose DVE sensor system technologies are comprised of both sensor hardware and data processing algorithms/hardware. Specific sensor technologies of interest include high sensitivity passive infrared imagers, active three dimensional infrared imagers (e.g. LIDAR), multi-function RADARs and short range collision avoidance RADARs. Areas of interest regarding data processing include algorithms/hardware for: adaptive fusion of live and a priori data, seamless merging of distributed aperture sensor (DAS) data, passive three dimensional scene generation and synthetic scene rendering.
