Description

1. Project 675-16-603: This is a Pre-solicitation announcement by the Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 8, Service Area Office-East, Orlando Fl. The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a qualified contractor to provide construction services for a Design-Build construction project. The project is entitled "Correct Electrical Deficiencies". The place of performance is the Orlando VA Medical Center, 5201 Raymond St, Orlando FL 32803. 2. The Department of Veterans Affairs will select a qualified responsible Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) contractor to provide all labor, materials, supervision, materials tools, and equipment necessary to perform project 675-16-603. 3. General Project Requirements: The contractor is to provide all labor, materials, tools and equipment, and design-build services necessary for design and construction of project 675-16-603. This project will replace the light poles in the parking lots, streets and walking areas of the Lakemont and Lake Baldwin Campuses. This project will also replace a rusted transformer between building 503 and 509. Connections will also be repaired and updated on M?deck between the AHUs and fire alarm panel. 4. MODIFIED To all interested parties: It is anticipated that a Request for Proposals (RFP) will be issued on or about October 16, 2015.. The Government contemplates the award of a Firm Fixed Price contract resulting from the solicitation. 5. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The size standard is $36.5 million. In accordance with VAAR 836.204, disclosure of the magnitude of this construction project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. 6. MODIFIED: A Pre-Proposal Site Visit will be conducted on Tuesday, October 20, 2015. Time: 2:00 -3:00 PM Local. Location of Site Visit: Orlando VA Medical Center, Auditorium A, 5201 Raymond Street, Orlando FL 32803. Interested firms are advised that they are responsible for obtaining all solicitation documents and/or amendments to the solicitation. Therefore all interested firms should re-visit the Federal Business Opportunities website periodically to look for any updates or amendments
