- Description
- The purpose of this amendment to solicitation VA247-15-Q-0929 is to: 1.Extend the offer due date from Tuesday, October 13th, 2015 at 1:00 pm to Monday, October 17, 2015 @ 1:00 pm to allow additional time for receipt of offers. 2.Post Questions & Answers all follows: "What is the monthly cost? $1359.63 "The H&W is listed at $4.02 is this correct? Please see the attachment 1- Wage Determination "How many employees work at the site now? 1 "Who is the current contractor? Walter Scott Janitorial "For the solicitation listed above is daily service require 5 days a week of clean. Please advise how many cleaning days a week you want service? 5 days "Can you provide a space survey report? Please see attachment 2-Warehouse "How many employees are in building for paper goods estimation? 18 "I only see carpet extraction in the initial deep cleaning? The initial deep cleaning should suffice if regular vacuuming is performed. HOWEVER - the standards of cleanliness states that carpets shall be stain free. So if extracting is required to meet that requirement, extracting is required. Annual or scheduled extraction is not required. Daily vacuuming is required. "Did you want us to include any other carpet cleaning? See above "As I read through the scope of work, I realized that there is no floor care for the warehouse floors after all. It has dust mop or damp mop for the tile floor, nothing for the concrete flooring. I know that your current cleaner is not mopping this floor at all. On page 7 under the minimum cleaning frequency chart in "all other spaces" it calls for dust and wet mop tile floors. This is meant to cover all non-carpeted floors: VCT, stone, tile, laminate, concrete, etc. The current contractor may or may not be mopping the floor - not coincidentally, his option years haven't been renewed. "Did you want any floor care included in the back? My suggestion is weekly dust mop and monthly damp mop. Let me know. In the general section it states that the flooring is mostly concrete. Bottom line is if the concrete floor is inspected and found deficient based on the standards of cleanliness - which addresses ALL floors - it is going to be an issue. Frequency is up to your discretion since it isn't specifically addressed in the statement of work. Keep in mind ALL floors must be clean and free of dust, soil, stains, etc. Reference the standards of cleanliness in all areas and performance should be satisfactory. The space will be inspected regularly by the government. It needs to be kept to standard or potentially face the invoice deducts as stated in the quality assurance surveillance plan. 3.All other terms and conditions of Solicitation VA247-15-Q-0929 remain the same.
