- Description
- NASA/ARC has a requirement for a Linear Actuation System for Blade Vortex Interaction tests. This purchase covers the hardware, software, programming, and installation for a linear actuation system for one of the U.S. Armys 7ftx10ft wind tunnel tests at NASA Ames Research Center. The linear actuators are required to have a stroke length of 1500mm and provide a force of 300lbf, plus factors of safety. NASA/ARC intends to purchase the items from Minarik Corporation, 1 Vision Way, Bloomfield, CT, 06002. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified Rachel Jandron at Rachel.A.Jandron@nasa.gov not later than 4:30 p.m. PST time on October 30, 2015. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
