- Description
- The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), on behalf of Program Executive Office Littoral Combat Ships (PEO LCS), has a requirement for system repairs and design agent engineering services in support of the AN/SQQ-32(V)4 Minehunting Sonar Set System, High Frequency Wide Band (HFWB). The ordering period under this Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) will be five years after award, with an anticipated award date of April 2016. BAE Systems Information and Electronics Systems Integration Inc. has been the prime contractor on HFWB since it was awarded a competitive production contract in 2009 to deliver AN/SQQ-32(V)4 systems to the Navy. This BOA will include providing materials, services, and documentation necessary to receive, evaluate, inspect, maintain, disassemble, repair, overhaul, refurbish, assemble, and test the HFWB. This BOA will also provide the supplies and services for depot, test, technical, computer, life cycle and training support, spares and repair parts, support equipment, engineering services, engineering change kits, support material and equipment, and associated technical data and data management. BAE Systems Information and Electronics Systems Integration Inc. is the only known responsible source with the requisite resources, knowledge, capability and experience with respect to HFWB to satisfactorily perform the work under the contemplated BOA. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement in response to this notice either through a capability statement, proposal or quotation. This Sources Sought notice is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all information received shall be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed BOA based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No reimbursement will be provided for any costs associated with providing information in response to this Sources Sought or any follow-up information requests.
