THIS CONTRACT SHALL BE FIRM FIXED PRICE AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION PROCEDURES AUTHORIZED BY FAR PART 13. SOLICITATION NUMBER: N40085-16-Q-0308 TITLE: REPAIR OR REPLACE FIRE TRUCK ENGINE NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY (NSA)MECHANICSBURG, PA NOTE: THIS ACQUISITION IS SET ASIDE 100% FOR SMALL BUSINESS SECTION 2: DETAILED DESCRIPTION: The Contractor shall provide all labor, material, tools, equipment, supplies and supervision to perform the following work: 2.1 The Contractor shall troubleshoot and or rebuild if necessary, the Naval Support Activity ™s 2004 Pierce Enforcer Fire Truck Engine. The engine is making a knocking sound from inside the engine and the engine oil pressure has dropped considerably from where it normally operates. The Contractor shall complete an œIn Frame Rebuild . This repair shall include the replacement/refurbishment of Cylinders, Rod and Main Bearings, Pistons and Rings and any associated gaskets. If any additional repairs are required, the Contractor shall provide a report to the Contract Officer and Government Representative. This report shall include a detailed description of the additional repairs required, suggested course of action to execute repairs and an itemized list of parts and labor costs associated with the additional repairs (as required). Any additional repairs shall only be authorized by the Contracting Officer. Once additional repairs are authorized and completed, the Contractor shall schedule and test the complete functionality of the truck engine with the Government representative. The Contractor shall provide a three (3) year “ 36,000 mile warranty against manufacturer parts defects/ premature parts failure and workmanship of repairs. This warranty shall cover and include any associated fluids, gaskets, labor and towing necessary to facilitate repairs. Warranty repairs shall be executed within 30 days of customer reporting of discrepancy. 2.2 Any collected waste materials and debris shall be disposed of off-site in accordance with all Federal, State and Local regulations.
