- This is a Request for Information (RFI) as defined in FAR 15.201(e) and not a Request for Proposal (RFP). DLA Troop Support is seeking industry feedback from interested parties concerning supply of the Dura-Base Interlocking Mat SystemTM ("DURA-BASE SYSTEM"). The Dura-Base system is made of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and has a service life expectancy of 15 years. This item is used commercially in the oilfield, utility, and construction industries. The Dura-Base System consists of the following NSNs: Annual Estimated Demand Full Panel 8 ft x 14 ft 5675-01-471-2683 600 EA Half Panel 8 ft x 7.5 ft - 5375-01-476-7335 TBD Locking Pin 5375-01-476-7336 2,400 EA Cover Pin 5675-01-476-7338 2,400 EA Tool Kit 5675-01-476-7345 12 EA Full Panel Weight: 1,050 lbs Panel Coverage: 91 sq ft The Dura-Base System is designed to act as reinforcement to existing soils, thus providing support to vehicular and pedestrian traffic as well as foundations for equipment and temporary buildings. This is not a solicitation and the Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this request for information. DLA Troop Support would like to offer the appropriate industries an opportunity to provide comments and recommendations that will enable the Government to issue a solicitation that will be better suited to the customary practices and procedures used in the industry. Responses to this notice should include: 1) A written narrative of contractor's capability to provide the required Dura-Base System, including production and delivery capability; 2) Company size in relation to the applicable North American Industry Classification System code, i.e., small business concern, 8(a) business, Hub Zone small, woman-owned small business, etc; 3)Point of contact information to include name, email address, telephone and fax numbers.
