- THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION: BRAND NAME OR EQUAL TO QSTUDIO 7 FLX 384W Minimum Essential Characteristics: The following are the minimal essential characteristics for the purchase of the required new RT-PCR system for the Viral Diseases Branch Pre-Clinical Trials testing mission: a. Vendor must be able to offer in trade the new RT-PCR system for the ABI 7900HT RT-PCR system currently at the Viral Diseases Branch. This trade must significantly reduce the cost of the new system being purchased by a minimum of $19,000.00. b. The instrument must be compatible with TaqMan Array Cards c. Reaction chambers must need <2uL reaction volume d. The instrument must have 4 inter-changeable blocks to accommodate 96-well, Fast 96-well low volume, 384-well plates or TaqMan Array cards. e. No service visits or recalibrations must be necessary in between block changes f. The instrument's user-interchangeable blocks must be accessible from the front of the instrument to maximize bench space and provide a tool-free block exchange capability g. Instrument must include an user-interchangeable light source that is readily accessible and can be reached from the front of the instrument. Light source must have a medial lifespan of at least 2000 hours h. The instrument must operate at 100V-240V without modifications or special plug requirements needed i. System must include a heated lid assembly that heats the top half of the sample plates and provides an effective seal to minimize reaction mixture evaporation j. The instrument must be able to run on a standalone mode, without a computer attached k. Instrument must include a touchscreen interface that can store protocols for quick run starts from the instrument without the use of the controller. Touch screen interface must allow for updating protocols or downloading of run files using USB interface l. The instrument must be designed to complete a 40 cycle RT-PCR reaction within 35 minutes m. The instrument must include an OptiFlex system which combines 6 excitation (450-670nm) and 6 emission (500-720nm) filters sets to enable collection of up to 21 unique combinations of wavelengths during a single run for multiplexing n. Instrument must provide a warranty of 1 year from the time of installation. Optional post-warranty service contracts, including next-business-day on site repair must be available for at least 10 years after purchase Interested vendors please contact Sharew Hailu prior to the listed close date.
