Draft Statement of Objectives Sources Sought INTERESTED SOURCES MUST SELECT "ADD ME TO INTERESTED VENDORS" BUTTON ABOVE OR BELOW TO BE CONSIDERED PARTICIPANTS IN THIS MARKET RESEARCH EFFORT. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code: 336412 SBA Size Standard: 1000 employees Requirement Information: Provide engineering expertise and logistical support to assist the USAF in the repatriation of F108 core engine modules. This will allow the USAF to transition from commercial repair to organic repair for the following specific F108 modules: Mod 13/15 Mod 14 - Turbine Shaft Mod 10 - HPT Outer Nozzle Support Mod 8 - Combustion Chamber Mod 12 - Nozzle Segment Stage 1 Fan Blade (blade repair) LPT Stage 1 Stationary Air Seal Segments Further Information on the repatriation effort is provided in the Statement Of Objectives. Potential sources shall demonstrate the capability of furnishing all labor, materials, required licenses, certifications, technical data, process expertise and bill of material support required for the remanufacture of the above identified modules and providing all necessary guidance/assistance to provide the USAF with organic shop stand-up/repatriation. Generally, the work to be accomplished for the remanufacture includes disassembly, cleaning, inspection, assembly, testing, preservation, and packaging to return an unserviceable asset to a like-new condition. Additionally, potential sources may be responsible for supply chain management, logistics planning, forecasting production requirements, long-lead time parts procurement, diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortage issues, and shipping serviceable assets. This Sources Sought Notice (SSN) is in support of Market Research being conducted by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) to identify potential sources and to determine if this repatriation effort as a whole can be competitive. This is not a Request for Proposal or solicitation. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within thirty days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Potential sources for this effort shall be companies who have current license or agreement with the OEM, CFM International (CAGE 58828) to complete the work described in this SSS. Companies interested in performing the work specified, and have met the requirements stated above, should submit this information (i.e. license agreement information) to the contracting officer at Schyla.howe@dla.mil.
