- Drawing 2 Drawing 1 FRC LLRC SSDG Information SOURCES SOUGHT: THIS IS ONLY A MARKET SURVEY FOR WRITTEN INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUCEMENT. The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is seeking interested vendors with successful past performance, current relevant experience, personnel/resources, equipment, and capability to provide Long Life Reusable Containers (LLRCs) for the Fast Response Cutter (FRC) Ship Service Diesel Generator (SSDG). Information pertinent to this requirement is attached. After reviewing the three (3) attachments containing information regarding this sources sought notice, please respond to the following questions: (1) Is your business a large or small business? (2) If small, does your firm qualify as a small, emergent business, or a small, disadvantaged business? (3) If disadvantaged, specify under which disadvantaged group and is your firm certified under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act? (4) Is your firm a certified "Hub Zone" firm? (5) Is your firm a woman-owned or operated business? (6) Is your firm a certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned? (7) Are you services listed on a GSA schedule? If so, which one(s)? (8) Have you designed/built similar containers for other government agencies using your facility, and if so which agencies, provide POC's and contract numbers. (9) Would your firm prefer to generate its own design that accords with your design and manufacturing practices and manufacture the LLRCs from that design? Or, would your firm prefer to start with the design in USCG drawing 154-WPC-084-003? (10)Does your firm have the capability to perform finite element analysis of the design to demonstrate its adequacy in dynamic loading required by SAE ARP 1967A? Or, will your firm have to subcontract for those services? (11)Does your firm have the capability to perform the dynamic tests required by SAE ARP 1967A? Or, will your firm have to subcontract for those services? After the review of the responses to this sources sought notice, and if the Government still plans to proceed with the requirement, a solicitation announcement will be published on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website. Responses to this sources sought notice are not considered an adequate response to any future solicitation announcement. Firms responding to this announcement that fail to provide all of the required information cannot be used to help the Government make the appropriate contract decisions which is the intent of this sources sought notice. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request to be considered for a contract award. All interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are NOT a request to be added to a prospective offers list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. Reimbursement will not be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement and any follow-up information requests. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received no later than 4 November 2015 at 12:00PM EST.
