SOURCES SOUGHT This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size relative to NACIS 541711. Responses will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses are not considered responses to any potential solicitation announcement. (DRAFT) STATEMENT OF WORK Microarray Data Analysis I. Specific Statement of Work for Microarray Data Analysis The purpose of this Contract is to obtain service for research data analysis using specific bioinformatics and statistical methods. Contractor shall provide the following services: a.Analysis of results obtained from the Illumina HumanHT?12_V4 Expression BeadChip System for muscle tissue collected before and after resistance exercise training including 11 pairs of tissue and one sample assayed in triplicate for assessment of the array reproducibility. b.Identify transcripts levels pre?exercise that correlate with percent increase in strength. c.Identify transcripts whose change from pre? to post?training correlate with percent increase in strength. d.QC report with visualizations and metrics - Includes PCA plot, Correlation plot, density plot etc. to identify outlier samples, if any, as well as scatter plots with regression estimates and Bland?Altman plots to assess the array reproducibility. e.Differential expression analysis - Includes Excel files with lists of up? and down?regulated genes from pre? to post?exercise. Includes fold changes, FDR corrected p?values and annotations. f.Correlation analysis - Includes Excel files with genes that are significantly correlated with strength (pre?exercise) and genes that are significantly correlated with gain in strength (pre? to post?exercise). g.Gene Ontology and Pathway analyses on up? and down?regulated genes, and genes correlated with gain in strength. h.A detailed report with information on methodologies used in analysis II. Period of Performance 1.One-time service - Due upon contract award 2. Place of Performance: Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS) 2200 Fort Roots Drive, Bldg 170, 3J/157 North Little Rock, AR 72114-1706 III. Responses must be received in writing no later than: Thursday, October 22th at 2 pm CST. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses are not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation.
