SBA Size Standard: 500 employees Requirement Information: Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometer M16-001 This Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS) is in support of market research being conducted by the United States Air Force (USAF). This market research is being conducted to increase competition for this requirement by identifying potential sources and to gauge small business interest to determine whether or not this requirement can be satisfied with a Small Business Set-Aside. The Government will use the information gathered through publication of this SSS to determine the best acquisition strategy for this requirement. The Government is interested in all potential sources including Small Businesses, Small Disadvantaged Businesses, 8(a) businesses, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, HUBZone Small Businesses, Women-Owned Small Businesses, etc. Potential sources shall be capable of providing a Gas Chromatograph Mass Spectrometer (GCMS)for analysis via direct liquid injection, automatic head-space sampling and automatic pyrolysis sampling, to include instrument verification and training. The GSMS is required to have the following salient characteristics: 1. Direct Liquid Injection 2. Head-space analysis 3. Pyrolysis and evolved gas analysis 4. Single quadrupole analyzer 5. At least 1.2-100 amu mass range 6. Electron impact ionization 7. Exchangeable injector modules 8. Capable of addition of exchangeable detector modules 9. Vent free column exchange 10. Vent free source exchange Potential sources may be responsible for nonrecurring costs associated with becoming a qualified source.
