Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs,WJB Dorn VA Medical Center R&D Service intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with the Illumina Inc., pursuant to FAR 6.302-3; for the procurement of NextSeq 500 Sequencing System, an integrated system for automated generation of DNA clonal clusters by bridge amplification, sequencing, and primary analysis. System includes embedded touchscreen monitor and on-instrument computer, NextSeq Control Software, installation and training, and 12 months warranty (including parts and labor). This is a microscopic imaging system designed perform real-time, in vivo longitudinal analyses in animal models of pathology that are highly relevant to the mission of the VA, including neuropsychiatric disorders like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and depressive illness, cardiovascular disease and heart failure, obesity, multiple sclerosis, and cancer. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than Wednesday, October 28, 2015, 4:00, EST. Interest/capability statements may be sent to Elaine DiBucci at elaine.dibucci@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government
