Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center 1201 Broad Rock Blvd Richmond VA 23249 intends to negotiate a Sole Source commercial item service contract with the Maquet Cardiovasc US Sales LLC for preventative maintenance and repair of (6) CardioSave Inter-aortic Balloon Pumps. The contractor shall provide 24 x7 field service, telephone support and emergency clinical support while a patient is on the unit. In addition, the vendor will also be responsible to provide schedule and unscheduled maintenance of the units. A request for proposal for (VA246-16-Q-0050) will be issued after Oct 26, 2015. The proposed contract action is for services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source procurement action and is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may submit a capability statement that demonstrates their firm ability to provide the services described above. Interested parties must provide rationale as to why they should be considered and identify their interest and capability to this response no later than October 25, 2015. 12pm, EST. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
