Description

This Sources Sought notice is being posted to satisfy the requirement of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement 206.302-1(d). The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst Contracts Office intends to award a Fixed-Price IDIQ type contract for the procurement of up to quantity one hundred fifty (150) E-2 Combined Data Loaders (ECDL) part number 4094AS0100-1. The ECDL was developed utilizing proprietary information that facilitates data transfer to/from the Network File Server (NFS) removable media to other off-aircraft systems. The Removable Storage Media (RSM) / Compact Removable Storage Media (CRSM) Interface Device p/n 2820250-010 is a required component of the ECDL. This contract will be awarded on a sole source basis with AMPEX Data Systems Corporation (Cage Code 0PN68) Redwood City, CA as AMPEX is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the E-2C and E-2D NFS, RSM, CRSM, and the RSM/CRSM Interface Device and therefore is the sole source that can complete these requirements. THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR COMPETITVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 USC 2304(C)(1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all responses received to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation will be available for this procurement. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit or award a contract.
