Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO 17), San Antonio, TX intends to negotiate a sole source Firm Fixed contract with CEPHEID, 904 Caribbean Drive, Sunnyvale, CA 94089. for providing Cost-Per-Test for the South Texas Veterans Health Care System located at 7400 Merton Minter Boulevard, San Antonio, TX 78229-4404. The term of the contract is a base of one year with a one-year option period. The types of test that will be conducted are Xpert C. difficile/Epi and Xpert MRSA, IVD. This requirement is for the purchase of cost-per-test services to include reagents used in the Genexpert Infinity system. C. Difficile test kits are used on the Cepheid Genexpert Infinity instrument located in the Microbiology Lab. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 and 13.106-1(b) (2), "soliciting from a single source." The NAICS code is 325413 and has a size standard of 500 employees for this procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit quotations no later than 4PM CST, November 3rd 2015 to: Benito.Canales2@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
