- Question: For CLIN 0003 - Are you looking for only the vest price? There are three sections that lead me to believe that a vest should include different things...Under "Classification" in the PD on page 1 it says, "Vest shall be of 1 type in 1 size with 2 expansion panels (assuming 1 small and 1 large)." Under "Accessories" in the PD on page 1 it says, the accessories in the list are for separate/individual purchase. Under 3.3.1 "Vest" it says the vest shall have the sewn-in pockets and various modular removable pockets (General Pocket large and small, & Radio) and then it lists all the "optional" components. For CLIN 0002 - "Base Vest and all Pockets" confirmation. This means the 1. Base Vest, 2. General Pocket Large, 3. General Pocket Small, 4. Radio Pocket, correct? A "system" makes me think it's all items including what's listed in 3.3.2. Response: "Complete system" (CLIN 0002) and "Airsave vests" (CLIN 0003) both include one (1) of each item depicted in Drawing No. 5-31-100, specifically the following: AF Airsave Vest Sub-Assembly; Label Identification; Horizontal Mounting Panel; Crew Regulator Unit/ Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System (CRU/JHMCS) Attachment Assembly; Expansion Panel, 1 Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment (MOLLE) - (Small); Expansion Panel, 2 Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment (MOLLE) - (Large); General Pocket Assembly - Small; General Pocket Assembly - Large; Radio Pocket Assembly; and Helmet Mounted Integrated Targeting System (HMIT) Attachment The government may wish to acquire any of these items individually during sustainment and in follow-on contracts. Question: [Contractor] has a question regarding CLIN 0001 and CLIN 0002... Shouldn't the FAT be due after the materials are approved by the government? If we are correct in understanding, then we would have additional time after the testing and approval to deliver the FAT garment. Response: The government is working under an expedited timeframe for this acquisition. For this reason, the government will simultaneously perform testing on materials and the first article provided. Both will be evaluated individually for compliance with the material requirements and pattern compliance respectively.
